Awana at First Baptist Rockport
AWANA Clubs International is a worldwide ministry, working to reach boys and girls, ages 3-18 with the gospel of Jesus Christ and training them to serve Him. The acrostic AWANA comes from the first letters of:
Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed
(2 Timothy 2:15)
Cubbies: 3 year olds and Pre-K
Sparks K: Kindergarten
Sparks: 1st and 2nd grades
Truth and Training:
3rd & 4th grades
5th & 6th grades
Awana starts on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2011, at 4:30 p.m. and will finish in April 2012.
Each Sunday night during the school year, clubbers enjoy exciting AWANA games, hear challenging Bible Messages, learn about missions, and memorize God's Word.
The AWANA ministry is centered around the Word of God. Therefore in the Entrance Booklet, Rank, and Bible Drills, the emphasis is on studying and memorizing God's Word.
AWANA leaders want to help your clubber grow spiritually. Club directors or leaders will be happy to answer any questions you may have about club or your child's handbook requirements.
